Equipment:
The TSI Lint Collection Filter (LFC-1) is a compliment to any Commercial Laundry air
system. Designed to remove moist lint from the air stream prior to exhausting the air;
the modular design allows for the LCF-1 to be incorporated into new designs as well
as efficiently being used in retrofit applications.
The LCF-1 is designed to allow for variance in speed. This allows designers to control
filtration efficiency as well as material loading capacities.
The LCF consists of a rotating wheel with support spokes. The wheel is covered with
an application appropriate screen mesh. The wheel is supported with two pedestal
bearings and driven by a direct driven motor/gearbox combination with either a belt
drive or a chain drive. The suction nozzle used to remove the lint includes a brush
and an air nozzle to air in the release of the lint from the screen.
The wheel is enclosed with a steel housing which includes access doors on both the
clean and dirty side of the wheel. The access doors also include inspection ports for
inspection during operation. The unit can be combined with an optional heating coil to
recover waste heat from the dryers to pre-heat air or water for the Laundry.
Cellulose and Personal Care Industry In manufacturing of personal care products such as paper or diapers, hygroscopic particles and cellulose waste are produced. With appropriately designed and selected equipment the recyclable material is returned into the production process and the waste is removed. In a cotton mill, fibers and dust particles are removed from the cotton through the machine extract air system. The fibers can be separated and recycled and the waste disposed of. When manufacturing glass products shod fibers and dust waste are generated. These contaminants must be removed prior to discharge of the air into the atmosphere. Special filtration and separation equipment will help to remove this waste from the air and either recycle or dispose of it. Pre-Filter/pre-separator The air stream loaded with particles passes through a pre-screen. The mesh size of the screen can be adapted to the panicle size to be separated. Advantages
Fine Particle Filtration Dust laden air passes through a fine filter. Depending on the amount of solids and the filter surface loading, a cake or mat is formed. Cleaning is done with a continuous vacuum provided by suction nozzles. ![]() Advantages
